Supersegfault is a game development blog that I created to keep track of the challenging or interesting game development problems that I encounter in my day-to-day life as a games programmer! My hope is that I can provide helpful programming and game development info in a clear and easily digestible way that will be beneficial to others (and perhaps my future self).

So far, I’ve got a few years of game industry experience. I’m currently working at Hidden Variable Studios in the LA area. Our first game, Bag It!, was released to excellent user and critical reviews, with a metacritic score of 93 and average user reviews ranging from 4-5 stars. For more about me and my work, please check out my online portfolio at www.clarkkromenaker.com.

Tools of the Trade

This blog runs on WordPress and a modified version of the PageLines template, which made it super easy to customize the site without minimal additional work.

For code snippets and syntax highlighting, I’m using a WordPress plugin called SyntaxHighlighter Evolved.  After evaluating dozens of plugins that provide this service, I found this one to provide the best look with the least hassle.

For web hosting, I’m using A Small Orange. I don’t have strong views one way or the other, but if you’re looking for web hosting, I’ve had no problems!
